Sonic Drilling

Sonic vibration is by far the smartest way to penetrate the earth’s crust. Sonic vibrations cause liquefaction of soil which severely reduces friction during penetration or retrieval. In softer soils sonic vibration only is sufficient to go down. In rock formations vibration is combined with simultaneous rotation and, if required, a swivel. This allows using rock button bits too, completing the range of formations that can be penetrated. All tooling must be able to cope with the high energy level required to obtain stunning drilling speeds.

SonicSampDrill has a 14 year long experience with producing sonic drilling tools and smart well and seismic consumables. We dare say that our tooling and our samplers, such as the AquaLock sampler, has an excellent performance record. Our casing and samplers are used in situations varying from arctic Siberia down to tropical Nigeria and have proven to perform well.
